01: What is the FledlingMusic.com?
FledglingMusic.com is an online music store unlike
any other. Remember making mix CDs for your car. We do that for you,
and the big difference is that for every song selected, the artist is
paid. Have you ever wanted an individual track, but not been able to
find it without spending big money on the whole album, well not any
more.
02: How does it work?
You select the music that want on your CD, in the
order you want, we produce the CD and ship it to your door.
03: What do I gain from the service?
You are supporting the artist that you want to
listen to directly.
You also get the CD you want in the order you
want.
04: How much does it cost me?
There is a 1 pound (1.5 US Dollars) CD setup fee,
regardless of the number of songs you choose. Each track costs 50 pence
(roughly 75 US cents), there is a minimum charge per CD of 5 pounds
(7.5 US dollars) which equals 10 tracks. For any selection over
multiples of 15 tracks we will split to a minimum of 10 tracks per CD,
and a maximum of 15 tracks. So a 15 track CD will cost you 8.5 pounds
(roughly 13 dollars) plus shipping.
05: Why should I bother using FledglingMusic.com?
Why not, at least buying from us you know that
each artist is getting rewarded for their hard work and talent. There
is no large record company, record shop, distributors or promoters in
this chain, all taking their cut of the artist's money.
06: How will I know that the artist's payment is
accurate?
Each artist is paid on the number of requests they
have had for their material. If at any time an artist is unhappy with
the service, they can request us to stop, and we will.
07: When do I get my chosen CD?
While we will try to have as short a turnaround
time as possible, we ask you to allow us 3-5 business days to press
your CD as well as normal shipping time.
08: Why do you not distribute mp3 files?
For the same reason we do not accept them as
submissions. We have no way of being 100% sure that the submitted
tracks are artist endorsed, and we do not endorse any form of audio
piracy.
09: What is Intermix technology?
Intermix technology was developed years ago as a
college project by one of the partners in FledglingMusic.com. The
theory and technology was way ahead of its time when it was created,
but now the time is right.
10: How can I promote FledglingMusic.com?
Many ways, word of mouth is always the best way,
tell your friends, or unlisted bands. Take a copy of our banner and
place it on your site. Write about us in your blog or web group. There
will be an advertising package containing flyer, web banner, sticker,
business card and miscellaneous advertising items available by request
to help you do this. FledglingMusic.com does not encourage spamming of
any kind, and as we will never reduce ourselves to that level, we ask
that you don't.
